Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Dr. Arends utilizes musculoskeletal ultrasound in office for early recognition and diagnosis of various soft tissue conditions and injuries. This is an accurate and cost saving service that is quick and pain-free and can be done easily in the office. He is also able to perform procedures such as cortisone injections with accuracy and specificity through the use of ultrasound guidance, if needed. This enhances and speeds diagnosis and treatment for conditions of the joint, muscle, tendon or ligaments. A common use is for suspected rotator cuff shoulder injuries. An example scan is below.
